Kissing question.....?

Okay, my boyfriend and I weere slow dancing and I kept looking into his eyes and he was like what And I said nothing.I was sad.Then one of my friends was like Kiss her! And he looked at me and I was scared adn I gess I sorta took my sweet time at leaning in to meet his lips and i kissed him yada yada.So then when I got home, he sent me a message on facebook and said "why were you so slow at kissing me" and I said I was nervous.I lied.Lol.I dont know what he means by that. Did I o itwrong? Adn whn I was looking into his eyes, was that wrong? Please help!
