How do i get my cat more active?

my cat is a lazy fat cat and i used to be able to play with him all the time but then he started geting fat and lazy. So i want to get him up and active again. And i was thinking about crushing up some no doz caffine pills and puting it in his water. Would it be ok should i give him 2 or 3?
