Which university is best for me??

I'm currently attending a Community College. My GPA is 4.0. I'm studying pre-med. I want to take transfer to a good university, but I was completely lost when i was researching for universities. I live in Maryland, USA. And I'd like to either go to NYC (not upstate NY) or stay in Maryland. So far, i have six universities in my mind. And they are: University of New York, University of Maryland, John Hopkins University, Colgate University, American University, Columbia University. Which one these (or other ones that you know about) is a good university for my major? And how hard is it to get into these universities? Another thing to look at is the cost. Is the university too expensive? I'm planning on taking transfer in the Fall of 2007. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
