Should I listen to them?

I've just come home with a new hairstyle. I like it alot, I now have a full on fringe (I kind of asked for it to be choppy but came over looking straight) and justa trim at the back. I know at school I'll get alot of attention, not because I'm popular because I'm not I'm just a normal decent student, but like any other school as soon as something changes they all come running with their opinions. I'm extremely irritated and a little hurt at the moment because I came home and althoughmy sister says she likes my new hairstyle, when I put it up it looks 'weird'. When it's in a ponytail, I have two long thick bits of hair framing my face which is exactly what I wanted and I think it look pretty retro and awesome. My dad then subtly said the same thing, that it looks 'strange' when I put it up. Neither of them said it nastily but they were both pretty snide about it especially my sister. They both know how annoyed I am because it's like they're jealous and want to make me feel stupid. They're family so I still love them no questions asked but why would they say that when it doesn't even look bad? Mu mum always supports me and she doesn't think it looks stupid. I don't care about other opinions on my hair but it has irritated me because of the way they said it.
