Why Wont My atiel Play With His Toys?

Get him non traditional bird toys. My bird likes the empty toilet paper roll. Spaghetti raw. I recently got him round pieces of wood and he loves to chew them. I give him fresh carrots and celery and hold them then he bites them into pieces, sometimes he even eats some of it. They love to shred paper give him some old computer paper. They love rawhide and boxes. Just put some things on the table and see what interest him. After a while he may get over the fear of new toys, just keep them out where he can see them. You might play on the playground with a block or stuff toy to show him yu are not afraid of it. You can't get birds to like something you can only introduce them to new things.
